Growing up in the islands, it's pretty much expected that young girls learn to cook very early. It's no surprise that I ended up in the kitchen at a young age!
I developed a particular interest in food production. I began nurturing my talent from high school in my Food and Nutrition classes, all the way through college where I pursued a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management with a food production concentration.
My recipes are what I call Caribbean Fusion. Having lived in both the Caribbean and New Orleans, I am heavily influenced and inspired by the cuisines of both places. That in effect is reflected in my recipes and gives rise to delightfully bold flavors.
